Wei Chang lives in a village in Lixin County of Anhui Province. He is 13 years old. He and his mother are HIV positive. Wei Chang and his sister live with their grandmother while their father works in Shanghai. He is a responsible young man, who reminds himself to take his medication daily. He had not missed a single dose in 2008.

He likes playing basketball and reading comic books. In school, he enjoys Chinese class the most.

Na Na is 10. She lives in Lixin County with her father. They are both HIV positive and on antiretroviral medication. Unfortunately, her mother passed away from HIV/AIDS in 2000.

When she is not in school, NaNa likes to jump rope and play with dolls. She also likes to read comic books. Her favorite foods are rice and vegetables.
