Xue Hong is 8 years old and lives in Funan. She lives with her parents, who are both HIV-positive, one older brother and two older sisters. Among the children, she is the only one with HIV.

In school, her favorite subject is Math. When she is not in school, she likes painting. Her favorite food is rice. As for her favorite color, it is pink, just like her shirt.

Hu is 14 years old. He lives in Funan. When his Dad is away for work in Suzhou, he takes care of his mom and four sisters. Both he and his mother are HIV positive.

Like most teenage boys, he enjoys watching TV, reading comic books and novels, and biking. His favorite subject in school is Chinese, but he doesn’t much enjoy his Math class.
